Academic Testing Services

Academic Testing Services Lab photoAcademic Testing Services administers make-up tests, advanced standing tests, the computer proficiency exam, and tests for self-paced, Internet, and telecourse classes.  Correspondence testing is done by arrangement only and requires special permission. Academic Testing Services is located at the northwest corner on the first floor of the Learning Resources Center/Library.

** GED, ACT, Aviation (CATS), COMPASS and CLEP tests are all given in the RSC Testing Center located in the Student Services Building.

Academic Testing Services Hours

Check the hours by month in the right sidebar. Hours vary during the summer semester, interim sessions, and holiday periods.

Student Information

To take a test, students must provide: Picture of testing center check in counter

  • Photo ID
  • Student ID#
  • Instructor's Name
  • Course Name
  • Test Number

Tests cannot be started within 30 minutes of closing.

 

All tests must be completed by the time Academic Testing Services is scheduled to close.

Faculty Information

Faculty members who use Academic Testing Services will need to:

  • Have their names, course prefixes and numbers on each test.
  • Deliver sufficient copies of tests to Academic Testing Services prior to the testing date.
  • Provide Academic Testing Services with a completed instruction sheet for administering tests.

  If instructions are not provided, Academic Testing Services will assume the following:
  • No test aids of any kind 
  • No time limit

Completed tests will not be returned through interoffice mail. Faculty members must either pick up their tests or authorize someone to pick them up. Authorization must be in writing. Authorization forms are available at Testing Services.
